Ingredients:

  • 1 pizza dough ball (store-bought or homemade)
  • 200g Land’Or mozzarella cheese, sliced or torn into pieces
  • 200g crushed tomatoes (San Marzano if available)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Fresh basil leaves (10-12)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
  • A pinch of sugar (optional)

Instructions

1-Preheat the Oven

Heat your oven to 250°C (480°F). Place a pizza stone in the oven for best results.

2-Prepare the Sauce

In a saucepan, heat olive oil and sauté the minced garlic for about 1 minute. Add crushed tomatoes, salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar (optional). Simmer for 5-7 minutes.

3-Roll the Dough

Roll out your pizza dough on a floured surface into a round shape. Transfer it to a pizza peel or parchment paper.

4-Assemble the Pizza

Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a border around the edges. Add slices of Land’Or mozzarella on top of the sauce.

5-Bake

Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.

6-Add Basil

Once the pizza margherita is out of the oven, scatter fresh basil leaves on top and drizzle a little olive oil over it.

7-Serve
